The 2008 WinS Annual Golf Tournament was a Success!!

On Sunday, May 4th 2008, the Women in Sports (WinS) organization held their 11th annual golf tournament at Meadowcreek Golf Course in Charlottesville. Twenty teams competed in a best ball competition and received prizes and gifts donated by many generous golf courses, businesses and individuals in the Charlottesville/Albemarle area. The proceeds from this event are used to fund the grants and scholarships that WinS awards each year, as well as helping to underwrite the costs of their annual banquet held in June where WinS honors the top female athletes from six area high schools.
